Your manuscript never leaves your computer. That is not a policy we chose to be kind — it is how the program is built, and it is the reason most of this page is short.

Molin Wordsmith, a sole trader in Sweden.
Writers Will is made and sold by Molin Wordsmith, registered in Sweden, registration number 19781112-4630, Ramgränd 20, 302 77 Halmstad, Sweden. That is the data controller. Write to support@bokbunden.se; a person reads it.
Writers Will on your own machine.
Writers Will runs on your computer. It opens a page at
127.0.0.1 — an address that means the machine you are
sitting at, and that cannot be reached from anywhere else. There is no
account, no sign-in and no registration. The program sends no usage
statistics, no crash reports and no information about you anywhere.
- The manuscript you drop in
- Read from your disk and written out as text files under
Documents\Writers Will. The files stay with you and can be deleted whenever you like. They are never uploaded. - The measurements and the pages
- Worked out on your computer by the program itself, from your own files. No server takes part in the calculation.
- The copies of earlier versions
- When you save, the previous version is placed in
manus\.tidigare\on your disk. Nobody else can reach them.
You can pull out the network cable and everything works the same. That holds for the Microsoft Store version too: without a licence key in your book, nothing goes out at all — not even a call that would be turned away.
The only thing that leaves, and only when you ask.
There is an optional AI panel. It answers the questions measuring cannot: whether a phrase is a tic or a motif, whether a voice matches the tone you declared. It stays silent until you put a licence key into your book — buying a period is the choice that switches it on. You can also point it at a service of your own instead.
What is sent is the specific excerpt the question is about. Never the whole manuscript, never in the background, and never without you asking.
The answers are cached on your own disk so the same question is not asked twice. Turning the panel off stops it completely.
No cookies, no analytics, no scripts.
We set no tracking cookies, run no visitor statistics, use no advertising networks and embed no sharing buttons. The fonts are served from our own address, so your browser contacts no third party to show this page.
The pages run no JavaScript, with one exception worth naming: the sounding of Samma vatten draws itself with scripts that travel inside the file. They run in your browser, work on numbers already present in the page, and send nothing anywhere — the page is not even permitted to reach the network.
Our host keeps the ordinary server logs every web server keeps, used for operations and for stopping attacks, not for following you.
One letter, then gone.
If you use the box on the front page, three things are stored: the address, the time, and which language the page was in. Not your IP address, not your country, nothing else. It is used for the one letter the box promises and then deleted. The record also expires by itself after 400 days if that letter never goes out.
The form runs no JavaScript and sets no cookies. It posts to
konto.bokbunden.se, our own address. No third party is
involved.
Four things, and nothing out of your book.
Payment goes through Stripe, who handle the card and are the controller for that part. We never see your card number.
What we store is your email address, which period you bought, when it was bought, and the licence key. That is the whole record. It is what we need to send you the key again if you lose it, and to answer a question about your own purchase. We also store that you accepted the terms, when, and which version — because that is what a consent is worth nothing without.
Four things, stated plainly.
- Your manuscript is never uploaded. Not for measuring, not for backup, not for improving anything.
- Nothing you write is used to train a model. Not by us, and the optional AI panel sends only the excerpt you ask about.
- Your address is never passed on or sold. Not to a partner, not to an advertiser, not to anyone.
- You are not profiled. There is no tracking across sites, no behavioural advertising and no automated decision-making about you.
Under the GDPR.
You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, or have it sent to you in a portable form. Write to support@bokbunden.se and it is done the same day. You do not have to say why.
Most of what people expect us to hold, we do not hold — there is no account and no copy of your work. If you are unhappy with how your data is handled you can complain to the Swedish supervisory authority, IMY.
